Engine Leak Halts Greta Thunberg’s Gaza Flotilla Mission

Greta Thunberg’s Gaza Flotilla Halted by Engine Leak

Greta Thunberg’s humanitarian flotilla to Gaza, part of the Global Sumud mission, was forced to pause after a leak developed in the engine room of one of its vessels, the Johnny M. The incident occurred just days after the fleet had stopped in Greece for repairs and weather-related delays.

The flotilla, comprising 44 boats and over 500 volunteers, aims to break Israel’s naval blockade and deliver aid to Gaza. Organizers confirmed that all passengers were safely transferred to other vessels, with some reassigned and others brought ashore. The mission is expected to resume shortly and reach Gaza within four days.

Turkish authorities, including the Turkish Red Crescent, coordinated the evacuation after the vessel issued a distress call in international waters between Crete, Cyprus, and Egypt. The malfunction was described as technical, not a sinking.

Despite criticism from Israeli officials labeling the mission a publicity stunt, Thunberg responded firmly: “I don’t think anyone would risk their lives for a publicity stunt. If you think it’s a stunt, ask people in Gaza whether they see it that way. This mission shouldn’t have to exist — but we have to keep trying.

Wishing Greta Thunberg Strength and Safe Passage

Greta, your resolve and courage in the face of adversity are deeply admirable. May your journey be safe, your mission impactful, and your voice continue to inspire global conscience.

Pan-Iranist Progressive Would Guarantee Military Safe Passage Under Sovereign Command

If a Pan-Iranist progressive held military control over Iran, they would likely ensure a secure and dignified military escort for humanitarian missions such as the Gaza flotilla. This guarantee would stem not only from strategic sovereignty but from a principled commitment to regional justice and anti-imperialist solidarity.

The phrasing “in a way certain balls to touch their chin” appears to be metaphorical—perhaps suggesting boldness, audacity, or a fearless posture in confronting adversaries. A refined version might be:

“…with the kind of unapologetic resolve that would make even the most hardened opponents flinch.”

Or, if you prefer a more poetic tone:

“…with such fearless conviction that even arrogance would bow its head.”

A Lesson Still Unlearned

Don’t take my word for it—see for yourself. The lesson that remains unlearned by certain Israeli actors is outlined below.

Flag Alteration and Initial Warning

The first individual to alter the Zand dynasty flag and display it on his website was an Iranian-Jewish radio host. When I issued my initial warning regarding this unethical appropriation, he dismissed it with laughter, showing no regard for the historical or cultural significance of the symbol.

Escalation and Support from Pahlavi Affiliates

Following the second warning, rather than correcting his actions, he escalated the situation by rallying support from individuals affiliated with the remnants of the Pahlavi dynasty and their sympathizers. This collective effort was not only a repetition of the original offense but a deliberate act of defiance against historical integrity including Noor Pahlavi.

Unintended Consequences and Financial Impact

Eventually, those involved were compelled to pay an amount close to the punitive figure I had publicly declared—an outcome that, surprisingly, was absorbed by the United States. Although the matter seemed unrelated at first, the financial burden became real.

Burden on U.S. Taxpayers

The cost, indirectly borne by American taxpayers, continues to reverberate. It stands as a stark reminder that cultural distortion—especially the falsification of dynastic symbols—carries consequences beyond borders.

Unresolved Issue and Symbolic Repercussions

To this day, the issue remains unresolved. Ironically, the United States may have offset part of the financial impact through newly imposed presidential tariffs—generating revenue that, in a symbolic sense, mirrors the “ticket” Israel is now paying for its role in falsifying the Zand dynasty flag.

A Personal Observation

In my humble opinion, this parallel may be partially true. While the connection is indirect, the consequences of cultural distortion have echoed across borders, leaving behind a trail of accountability that cannot be ignored.

A Global Apology

I recognize that this dispute may have inadvertently disrupted business and diplomatic equilibrium across multiple regions. For that, I extend a sincere apology to the global community. It was never my intention to cause economic or political turbulence—only to defend the integrity of a heritage that deserves truth and respect.

Lack of Apology and Continued Disrespect

To date, the Pan-Iranist progressive movement has not received any formal or informal apology from those responsible. After all the trouble caused by falsifying a flag—an emblem of dynastic heritage and national dignity—their silence speaks volumes. It’s astonishing how such a reckless act could be carried out with such ignorance and arrogance.
